Jacka Tear Gases Hip-Hop

Anyone who is a die hard Jacka fan has been dying for this for a minute. This album blew me away so hard I became a huge supporter of him right after. Tear Gas has become the Jack Artist's most acclaimed effort. The rhyme is rich and every song on the album grips you and has its own story. It slaps for those who want trunk music ("Glamorous Lifestyle") and it inspires ("Dreams"). It takes you into an artist's mind ("Dopest Forreal" and "Summer"). Despite the first singles "All Over Me" and "Girls" which are both catchy and sick songs the entire album is filled with conflict and triumph; only 2Pac pulled off that balance and Jacka proves he can hang. This album deserves praise and should be bought. As i've heard Jack has reached the Billboards and the album has a strong cult following building on it. Hip-Hop is evolving, guys like Kid Cudi and Drake and others are building acclaim based on their strong fanbase putting them on. The Jack should be next, and even though Hus is not featured on the album it really allows Jacka to command the stage. I give this album a 9/10. Its near perfect and the best bay area artist album since San Quinn's Boy To A Man last year. The bay seems to be falling off slowly and Tear Gas blows into the scene like a hurricane. I just hope more artists can follow or modify the format as this album does very effectively; proving once more that he is The Jack Of All Trades.

Remember?

Richie Rich.... No not the cartoon. Im talking Bay Area Legend. I think it is shit how most Bay legends lose all exposure. Rappin 4 Tay, Rich, Pooh Man, Black C, the first two were both on 2Pac's Diamond All Eyez On Me. Anyway remember also in 2006 when E-A-Ski produced almost every dope song you heard and then fell off in 07? well i found this gem of a song and it is the sickest Bay Area track of 09 so far to me. Simple and Gutter Beat. Richie Rich takes his dope lyrics and amazing voice and hooks up with E-A-Ski's Neo-Dr. Dre type beat. Check it out for yourself

Richie Rich - Wake Yo Game (Produced by E-A-Ski)

Bet U Ain't Got These Yet

Just Droppin Some Quick music. Bay Music is getting better and more common again. I like the direction Bay music is taking.

Erk Da Jerk - Like A Plane In The Air (featuring Too Short)

Some sick Richmond music. And Short Dogg: "You Niggaz Stay Dreamin Like Martin Luther King"

A.G. Cubano - Neva Knock It (featuring C-Bo & Laroo)

Awesome Beat, gangsta music

Sean T - My Time

Looks like Sean found AutoTune kinda late but its a good song. But my opinion is bias because im an AutoTune supporter

Beeda Weeda - Wet (featuring E-40 & Traxamillion) *Snippet

Its A Snippet of Beeda's next single featuring Water and an AutoTune assisted Trax, he aint really in the song he just sings im wet. P.S. am I the only person that finds that slang word odd?

10 Steps To Writing A Lil Wayne Vere

This is just something I saw floating around on MySpace. Im A Fan Of Wayne I just thought this was pretty funny. Even Though I subscribe to the theory that Wayne is not the greatest rapper alive, I think Kanye would deserve it more that Wayne but thats just me, anyway

1. Pick a Verb. Preferably a verb about running away from the law or from an assailant. I.E. Duck, Run, Dodge or maybe Stop, Drop or Roll. L'il Wayne LOVES stopping, dropping and rolling. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

2. Connnect the verb to some sort of simile. This is crucial. Every single L'il Wayne line must contain some sort of relatively obvious simile. So maybe you can "duck like Scrooge." "Run like a bloody nose." Or even "Dodge like Kansas." You can do metaphors but try to steer away from doing this too often, lest people think that you are a different ghost-writer. That is bad. Also for bonus points talk about how "sweet" you are. L'il Wayne loves talking about being sweet like a Tahitian Treat or some other delicacy high in sucrose.

3. Mention "Slanging Keys." This is crucial to establish street cred. Don't pay attention to the fact that L'il Wayne's been famous since 12 and the only thing he knows about slangin' is that he speaks with it. After all, if you don't talk drugs how else can you impress the translucent Dairy Queen-white music critics. This way they can also compare you to the Wire. (Just remember to connect all that "slanging keys" talk with a simile).

4. Declare that you are Weezy F. Baby. This will tell listeners who you are. Sure, they probably already know, but adding The "F" in the middle of the name uncertainly adds to Wayne's level of class. It makes him seem like F. Scott Fitzgerald. Exactly like F. Scott Fitzgerald. Whatever you do, don't attempt to ascertain what the "F" stands for. That my friends is a slippery slope. And whatever you do, don't think about what the "F" stands for while looking at a picture of Wayne and Baby making out.

5. Talk about hustling. Music critics love hustling. Presumably, they are devotees to the energetic style of basketball popularized by players like Ben Wallace, Kurt Rambis and Mark Madsen. This will make them feel at home. If there's anything music writers know about, it's hustling.

6. Talk about Baby. Call him your Daddy. Forget the fact that he's not actually your Daddy. Forget the fact that the majority of people that call other men "daddy" are prostitutes. It's unimportant. Mention something that Baby told you. Maybe that he told you that "these *****es is *****es." Or that he told you to "Turn around and stick out." (Maybe, he was just quoting Sir-Mix-A-Lot.) Ignore the fact that you call a man named "Baby," "Daddy." Let's just chalk that up to being a New Orleans thing.

7. Make some sort of obvious pop culture technology reference. Talk about IPods. Or Myspace. Or gigabytes. Something remotely technological. It will show that Wayne is not completely retarded (just partially) and might have actually read a newspaper once or twice. Which clearly means he is a genius.

8. Talk about how poorly you treat women. Perhaps you can claim how you'll "never love a *****." Or how you'll "never give a ho a damn thing." The more misogynistic the better. This will definitely do much to steer people away from those nasty "gay" rumors.

9. Apropos to nothing, make some sort of remark about Hurricane Katrina. No need to bother making it have anything to do with the rest of the verse. After all, never underestimate white liberal guilt. Any sort of name-dropping will make white liberals feel bad and they will forget the fact that Wayne is a multi-millionaire and anoint him the voice of the people. Also, be sure to make wild ridiculous conspiracy theories like claiming that you heard George Bush blew up the levees. The more absurd the better. Go for it.

10. Proclaim yourself the "Greatest Rapper Alive."Forget the Fact that Wayne would be lucky to be included in a list of the Top 20 rappers working right now. Most music critics haven't listened to Hip Hop Made Before 1999 anyway (other than Public Enemy). If you proclaim yourself the greatest, you will be the greatest. Or at least people will be foolish enough to buy this canard.

Now you're On Your Way To Being Cash Money's Newest Ghost-Writer. Fame, Fortune (and anonymity) Await You. Feel free to produce your own little Wayne verse in the comments. Or just send it directly to Cash Money. The Ghostwriting Hotlines are open now.

"U Play The Game, U Play Everything That Go Wit It"

San Quinn & Keak Da Sneak - Streets Don't Lie (Produced by Chops)

Quinn Has been spending quite some time with Chops, who is famous for producing tracks for Bun B, The Game, Young Jeezy & Lil Wayne. He offered some production on Quinn's From A Boy To A Man which has got to be Quinn's most impressive album. This track is pretty amazing and employs an anthemic sounding sample. Keak goes hard, but Quinn steals the show because the song content is right in his confort zone.

San Quinn & Keak Da Sneak - Welcome To Scokland (Produced by Chops)

PSD Tha Drivah - 'Til I Float

So Amazing. I bought Messy Marv's Draped Up & Chipped Out 3 and i was almost disappointed until I stumbles upon this gem. I heard PSD bout to get locked up and thats too bad because this is the best PSD song i think ive ever heard. and heres a frew other of Draped Up 3

Messy Marv - Dey Make Those?

After all those shitty fruity loop beats that mess has been using lately im glad that his sense for complete sounding tracks has returned.

G-Stack - Dr. Purple Thumb

Stack comes with his best Kokane impression. The beat sounds like some classic Too Short and I really like it. It sounds like some game oriented music and this track is funny. Im feelin this one.

Mistah FAB - Throw Ya Hood Up (Produced by Sean T)

Despite the shitty ass title this track is super solid and if FAB's lyrical content will be this rich when he drops his major label album then it might be worth checking out.

Go Hard

So There is a new Blueprint 3 Leaked Track. This one is really dope. Produced by Kanye West and it sounds like a clash of his two styles. Clean Sample and Tribal drumbs, Vintage Kanye meets 808s and Heartbreak.

Jay-Z - Brooklyn Go Hard (featuring Santogold) [Produced by Kanye West]

808s & Heartbreak: The Sound Of Art

So music is in a stage where to want to buy a rap album you have to have extreme motivation. Although reviews on Kanye's new album are mixed I am immensly impressed by the artistry of Kanye West. It's not easy to take someone else's idea and improve upon it. T-Pain's talent is in the fact that he has singing talent but dosent use Auto-Tune responsibly. Kanye does. 808s is about not only about the singing, its about the production which is the richest ever. Most of the beats on the album sound like Ye contracted and Orchestra to help him out. Its amazing to take a comlete 180 from your previous work and re-invent yourself. This album is not about what we want its about what we need. Hip-Hop is taking a nose dive and this album injects new life into a dying genre. Hopefully this album can serve as a blueprint for more albums to come. Kanye said himself this isnt rap, it's Pop Art. And I cannot link a leak. This album is just too amazing and deserves to be paid for.

This Shit Dissapoints me. I heard that Mess track on his Myspace. Messy Marv used to be my favorite rapper. But now i aint down with him no more. I think its foul of him no matter what happened to be puttin shit on record. Thats some 50 Cent type shit. Im sure any issues can be resolved without having to put songs out. Rap beef is the dumbest shit. Real dudes work it out without wax. Especially since they are cousins I think that there could have been a way better way to put things out. I guess "My Enemy" was probably aimed at Quinn. Whatever i think Quinn is koo sticking to his guns right now I hope he does not respond to that childish "Talk Baseball" track. Aight Im done venting out. Anyway this sucks The Explosive Mode Trilogy are my favorite Compilation Albums ever.
Damn. According to this song Mess turned down a verse on "SF Anthem" because he a blood. The same reason he dissapproved of Hyphy music. I used to be a fan of mess but thats cold.

Pure Dope

Some Stuff I Just thought i should post and try to speed up the sluggish pace on posts!

Nas - Hero (Produced by Polow Da Don)

This one has been out but since Nas has got beef wit Fox News and they critizized him for "glorifying violence" I thought I might just show that they dont know shit bout what they're saying.

The Game - My Life (Featuring Lil Wayne)

This one is produced by Cool & Dre. Hella sick. So far i have yet to hear a track of L.A.X. that is not straight fire. Lil Wayne vocoder sings the hook, No verse. But none the less a dope track

Clyde Carson - Cali State Of Mind (featuring The Game)

A good look for the bay. Some dope L.A. shit and one of the hottest names in the game. Literally!

Messy Marv - Off Top (featuring Marvless)

This is some throwback Gangsta shit for those real gangsta rap fans. Of Mess and Marv's "Bonnie & Clyde" album from '03

Ya Boy - They Know Me

Mistah Fab - 2MPH (featuring Bun B, Chamillionaire & Paul Wall)

Guce - Friend Like Me (featuring Young Mess & Dru Down)

sick 2Pac sample and cover and beat.

Only Real Gangstas Surroundin' Us

Young Mr. So Damn Sick I figure I'd post some shit that im really feeling right now that Chico aint already posted.

San Quinn - Real Gangstas Surroundin Us (featuring PSD) [Produced by Traxamillion]

Really Feeling this one. PSD tight as always, his vocals hella remind me of Kokane. Traxamillion made a super hot one. I hope this is on Quinns next Album!

J-Nash - Feelin' U (featuring Kaz Kyzah)

R&Bay. If you hear this track you can almost forget the fact that Nash is signed to Thizz Entertainment. A real good look and I can hear a developement in Kaz flow. He dont sound like Clyde Carson much no more.

Young Mess - I Stay Peppered Up

Yes Yes The Boy Boy Young Mess got the Vococder.

Young Mess - I'm Havin Chedda (featuring Matt Blaque)

More Sick Mess. And More Fun with Vocoder.

San Quinn - They All Wating On Me

And I just have to post this one. It is gonna be on Quinns album for sure. If the rest of his album is half as amazing as this track Pressure Makes Diamonds might just get topped!

Sick February

Hey its Mr. So Damn U Know what been a dumb ass minute since i posted but i got some tracks i wanna share with yall

J-Holiday - Bed (Mobb Music Remix) featuring Trina & Ja Rule

There have been endless remixes to this song but the Official Remix is the link above me, it sounds like a Dark Child version of "I Got 5 On It". Ja Rule is on it and he is really getting a buzz right now, no one is gonna have a better year in '08 but Rule.

Ja Rule - Father Forgive Me

This is the most impressive song he has ever written, The beat samples "Elanor Rigby" by The Beatles. 50 could never get away wit a track like this but it really fits Ja Rule's style. Now this track is almost impossible to find so enjoy. Like I said Ja Rule is gonna kill this year.

Guce - Git Ya Hustle Up (Produced by Nitti) featuring Lil Wayne

Yeeeeah Gucy Guce is so sick, I loved his mixtape series and this track is some bring the bay back shit. The King Of Cali is droppin fire over a Nitty beat. Lil Wayne is billed as featured buh Wayne only supplies the hook on this one. This is a straight Guce track.

Guce - Show Me (featuring Slim Thug & Killa Keise)

Classic Guce shit, need I say more

B-Legit - Bela Blunts (featuring J-Minix)

This track is stricktly Throwblock Muzic u will only like this track if you are a B-Legit fan from way back. Now this track is new but B is experimenting with that old The Click 1990s sound. Classic.

Go Dav - What You Gon Do (Produced by Traxamillion) featuring Clyde Carson

I LOVE THE BAY TOO!

I got some exclusive tracks off Too Short's I LOVE THE BAY album. Everyone has "Video Vixen" by Hoodstarz so ill go into the lesser known but slappin tracks

Dolla Will - Doors Open (Produced by Traxamillion)

Trax rips on the Lil Jon formula but drumbs it up nicely, the hook is basic but the beat really fills the track out. Dolla is an artist signed to Up All Night.

The Team - U C It (Produced by Young L)

Another Lil Jon-ish beat by Young L used but refreshing. Team is back, the whole Team. Even Mannish is on this one. A used title but the song is a slapper none the less.

Messy Marv - I Don't Dance (Produced by Traxamillion)

Aint heard a new mess song since he got locked up, short and kinda hollow but at least Mess is still present. FREE MESSY MARV.

Bavgate - Park The Scrapers (Produced by Young L)

Very Wolfpack production i didnt think Bav's gangsta Thizz style would fit the track but I was wrong this is easily one of the best songs off the entire album. It slaps.

Some New Ones 4 Ya

Ja Rule - Uh Oh (featuring Lil Wayne)
New single off Ja's much anticipated Mirror album. Wayne hot and we know he dont like 50 cent so naturally he would collab wit Rule, anyway beat goes sick songs sounds Swizz Beatz-ish but worth a DL.

Guce - Scrapin (featuring Lil Flip)

Guce - Air Forces

Sean T - Loose It (featruring 18 & Sandman) [Produced by Sean T]

Ja Rule - Get Up (Produced by Scott Storch)

Sunday, June 17, 2007

New Ones I Got For Ya

Turf Talk - Stop Snitchin' (feat. E-40 & Droop-E) [Produced by Droop-E]

I been tellin Chico to post this one but Iguess its up to Sick. The beat sounds like something Young L would make so I guess Droop is catching on to the backpack sound that The Pack is makig famous. Turf Talk is vicious on this one and E-40's verse is as hard as on "Oh Yeah" by Scrappy. All in all a slapper

Turf Talk - I'm Ghetto (Produced by Rick Rock)

Real sick, it sounds like a gangsta version of "Me & You" by Cassie & "Get It Shawty" by Lloyd. The rappin is sick and shows how good of pair Ricky Rock & Turfy Make.

J. Nash - Hyphy Love (featuring Kafani) [Prod. Rob-E]

Shop Boyz - Party Like A Rockstar

There U Have It

New Bad Ones and Some old ones but good ass ones

Balance & Big Rich - Wassup (featuring Mistah FAB)

Turf Talk - Been A Hustler (Original Vaccine Track)
From a DJ Whoo Kid mixtape, originally set to be on the West Coast Vaccine but apparently was not so. I really like this song and this is the best and prob. only version you'll find.

Unreleased Murda Game: On SlapzAndSuch too songs by Game & Dre that were excluded from the tracklist of Doctor's Advocate which would have justified the album title more.

The Game - Hold U Down (featuring Keysha Cole) HOT!! [Produced by Dr. Dre]

The Game - Feel Good (featuring Yummy Bingham) [Produced by Dr. Dre]

G.O.O.D. Music Movement
When Sean T was asked on Yellow Bus Radio what movement he belonged to, He said the Hyphy Movement and more importantly making G.O.O.D. music. Over the past 2 years Sean's style has matured and his beats are very thoughtfull and the music is really good. I have a handfull of Sean's G.O.O.D. music.
This track is off Explosive Mode 2 from last year. The sample is smooth and the song has a very deep message. In these times of murders on every corner and drugs flooded on the streets Mess and Quinn let you know "You Don't Want To Be Like Me" which is a great track for Quinn to talk to his kids and Give people out here something good to look forward to. Sean's production is clean and it is definately a Kanye West album worthy sample.
A real cool song. Has a classic oldie/new rap kinda vibe. The sample is really basic but Sean T uses his own smooth melodies to put together a really nice beat.

Cellski t.k.a. Mr. Predictor

Cellski is one of the most talented artists in the Bay Area. He is not really known by many other than fans who have been up on him since he started. Not just that but he is one of the most impressive Producers in the bay starting with his own songs and also RBL Posse, Rappin' 4 Tay, the Thizz camp, Turf Talk, Celly Cel and others. I just wanted to put up some songs he has made and also produced.
The beat goes really hard. It sounds gutter and very much like the old RBL Posse music that he put on in the early 90s i do hear that this one came out circa 2000 but it don't matter if u from the you have to have this one on your iPod or mix.
This is the newest song that Cellski has come out with and it stays close to the hyphy movement. The beat sounds like something that Dr. Dre would do so it showcases his versatility as a producer and that he is still very active in the game. The lyrics go hard and the hook is reall catchy so enjoy it.
This one is of the Thizz How We Eat album by the Thizz camp. The song is simple but it is really sick and another one of those slaps that reminds you Cellski ain't disappeared anywhere.
Off the Slaps, Straps and Baseball Caps album. Hyphy beat and the topic is self-explanitory. Luni delivers the best verse on the whole track. Turffy spits real clean to and Cel kicks it really koo, but its just wierd cause im not too used to Hyphy Celly Cel yet, but sick Cellski beat.
Now Here's some classics you might not know Cellski produced:
This one is so fuckin sick. 1994 and I think my second favorite Cellski beat. It really sums up the funk of the time and another Dre-Style beat, from the 90s of course.
The best Cellski beat ever!!! This has got to be one of the greatest songs that was ever made. This was the track that got RBL signed and Cellski really did his thizzle on this one. The sample is real sick and the flute melody is what makes the beat so memorable.
Ice Cube Post:
I have Laugh Now, Cry Later and it is one of the best albums i've heard in about 5 years. so i wanted to post my 2 favorite songs, they hella go hard.

Ice Cube - Child Support (Produced by Teak & Dre)

This one is sick, Cube rides on all rappers now who juss talk about they bullshit and how they only rap about pussy and money. He says for his rapper children he's a deadbeat daddy. I think it needed to be said

Ice Cube - Click Clack, Get Back!

By Request:

Three 6 Mafia - Dope Boy Fresh (featuring Chamillionaire)
